Full360 Student Media Wins Sweepstakes for 2nd Consecutive Year, Winning a total of 10 State-wide Awards

By Jake DiBlasio

Despite the gloomy weather in Doylestown, it is a bright day for members of Full360 Student Media, whose work contributed to Delaware Valley University taking home the sweepstakes in the Pennsylvania Keystone Media Contest by winning the most awards in its category. A total of 16 students were recognized for their work on the Full360 news website, and students will head to Harrisburg to collect a total of 10 awards presented during a ceremony in April that unites media students from across Pennsylvania.

“What makes this recognition especially meaningful is the creativity our students bring to their reporting. They aren’t just gathering facts, but they’re finding original angles, asking thoughtful questions, and telling stories in ways that truly engage audiences.” Doug McCambridge, media and communications professor at Delaware Valley University

Delaware Valley University took home seven first-place awards, the most of any school and three more than the next closest school. The Full360 took home Sports Photo, Website, Video Story, Podcast, Best Newscast, and Best Public Service. Travis Loewe’s “Rain & Shine, Bucks County Classic returns to the streets of Doylestown” which is what won him first overall in sports photography.

On top of that, Owen Klessel’s “An Interview with the Bug Man” was named best video story, which was one of many other awards he was a part of. Klessel also spearheaded the Full360’s Newscast, which took home first place for best Newscast with help from various other students, including Charlie Roller, Lauren Caruvana, Nina Weiland, and Hannah Citron. Klessel won six awards for various categories.

The best public service broadcast is also another award the Full360 won. The team that worked relentlessly to put the package together included Klessel, Roller, Ryan Rawls, Saylor Anderson, Christian Ley, and Dante Campana. The broadcast, “DelVal Students Spotlight Health Concerns in ‘One Health’ Public Service Announcements” captured what One Health is about and struggles college students face on a daily basis .

Tea Talks, the Full360’s podcast, also took home first place for best podcast. Tea Talks addressed issues going on in the world and the Bucks County area. Nina Weiland started Tea Talks with her podcast discussing the use of AI at Delaware Valley University before Jake DiBlasio followed that up with an episode on online gambling and its risks. Rich Bagala took the lead on the third episode, which examined the university’s animal science program. Tea Talks, which was started during the fall of 2025, has quickly become one of Full360’s most popular media productions. That would not have been possible without behind the scenes contributions from Rebecca Worthington, Hailey Cylinder, and Andrew Snowden.

Snowden, a senior at Delaware Valley, also received an honorable mention for the graphic he created for the written story about youth gambling. The Full360 got two more honorable mention awards for feature story and review. Charlie Roller and Klessel were the ones who took home the feature story for their work on “Moo-ving Into A-Day: Behind the Scenes at the Dairy Center.” Saylor Anderson, Aubrey Ennis, Rawls, Klessel, Roller, and Loe all worked on “Students reflect multiple perspectives, capturing video of Doylestown’s Mercer Museum.” Their hard work earned them an honorable mention for review.

The Full360 is proud of everyone who contributed to their success this academic year, but that doesn’t mean they are done growing.
