DelVal celebrated the season of giving with there take on the hit TV show “SharkTank” during its sixth annual Spark Bowl Nov. 20. Business leaders, students and DelVal faculty gathered in the Life Sciences building for the event, giving start-up businesses the chance to compete for prizes and funding.
Bottimals won the first place award, Mojoz received second place and BH Botanicals received third. All winners were awarded with funding to help support their businesses.
They competed for a total of $21,000. The Judges included Susan Lonergan, director of middle market and specialized banking for Fulton Bank’s commercial sales and lending teams; Blair Rush, southeast region president of C&N; Daniel Moloney, cofounder of Alphaspan Capital, chairman of Adeia, Inc.; and William Schutt, founder, former owner, and chairman of MATCOR, Inc.
The judges Susan Lonergan, Blair Rush, Daniel Mooney, and William Schutt all came to an agreement and voted Julianne Gardner and her Bottimals to take home the first place prize.
