2025 Homecoming weekend was certainly one that will be remembered for years in Doylestown. The stands were packed with students, fans, and, of course, alumni. While it wasn’t the prettiest of wins, the Aggies were able to best Stevenson 41-38. The game started off in the most unexpected way with Joel Perez scoring his first of three touchdowns on the opening kick return.
Things would start to turn in the Mustangs’ favor as they would go on to score two unanswered. On offense, the Aggies would respond with a 45-yard touchdown rush from Justin Brown. This would only be the start of a huge day on the ground for Brown. As time expired in the first half, Stevenson would kick a field goal to take the lead before the halftime festivities began.
Stevenson would start the second half on fire, scoring two consecutive touchdowns and would take a 31-14 lead over the Aggies. Just as momentum seemed to be in the Mustangs’ favor, Perez would step up huge again, taking another kickoff return back for six. These two scores on special teams would help Perez take home MAC special teams player of the week and D3 special teams player of the week.
While Stevenson would answer the Aggies’ touchdown, Perez would once again score for the Aggies. This time, Perez came down with an eight-yard touchdown pass from Mike Galasso. In the fourth quarter, Del Val would be firing on all cylinders. On defense, the Aggies had four fourth-quarter interceptions. Owen Suah would be the first defenseman to take the ball away, followed by Jerimiah Clark, Micah Bootman, and lastly Andrew Vernieri, who sealed the deal in his first game back from injury.
Justin Brown would also have a huge day in the fourth, punching in two touchdowns, including the game winner. His first would come from the two-yard line and another one from the 28-yard line. Brown’s three-touchdown performance was integral to the Aggies’ comeback, and he is now up to eight touchdowns on the season.
The Aggies are back on the road this Saturday, taking on the Alvernia Golden Wolves, who are still looking for their first win of the season.
