Ever tried speed dating but for jobs?
Well, DelVal’s Ignite program is just that.
Students who attend are given a few minutes to speak with representatives at different job tables before moving onto the next. And in that time, they could get internships, future jobs, and make connections that could help with their career.
If job hunting after graduation stresses you out, you can get a start on it here.
“(It’s an) opportunity to realize that you’re not alone,” said Laura Craig, head of the event. “Not only are other students working through similar considerations, you will likely find that our professionals have experienced similar moments along the way.”
The event offers deeper knowledge of career opportunities that you may not have considered and greater comfort in interacting with people that you don’t know well or don’t have a lot of experience with.
This year’s Ignite event is Thursday Sep. 25, 5:30-7 P.M. in the Cooke wing of the Krauskopf Library.
Here are some photos from last year’s event, which was held at Terrain at DelVal.
