DelVal Club Presidents Compete in The Great Animal Race Challenge

BY OWEN KLESSEL / MULTIMEDIA PRODUCER

Biology Club’s Adham El-Maghalawi and Herpetology Club’s Morgan Lowe are going head-to-head in the Great Animal Race!

Ever since its creation, the brand new Herpetology Club has had a friendly rivalry with the well-established Biology Club.

To settle this rivalry once and for all, DelVal’s own Animal Boy has invited the presidents of said clubs for a friendly challenge.

They each have 20 minutes to find the most species of animals on campus. This escapade brought them from Lake Archer to Featherback Hill to the Horse Farms, cataloging rare animals like Northern Water Snakes and Parasitoid Wasps.

If you’re interested in doing The Great Animal Race with friends, here are the rules:

You have 20 minutes to find as many species as possible!

📸 Only species you capture in a photo count.

🏆 Scoring System – Rack up points to win!

  • 🦊 3 points – Mammals, Reptiles, and Amphibians
  • 🐦 2 points – Birds and Fish
  • 🐜 1 point – Bugs and other Invertebrates

When the timer hits zero, the person with the most points wins!
