Charlie Roller and James Miskanic
As the semester comes to a close, reporter Charlie Roller and videographer James Miskanic headed to Lake Archer to provide insight into the beautiful area. With activities such as fishing, disc golf, walking trail, and places to just sit and relax, Lake Archer is considered by students as one of the best places on campus to hang out.
The history of Lake Archer is interesting as well: This one-acre pond was originally constructed in memory of Archer Rosenthal in 1908. This pond was reconstructed in 1961 by the student body of Delaware Valley University classes of 1961, 1962, 1963 and 1964.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Rosenthal donated funds for its construction in memory of their son, Archer Rosenthal, a National Farm School student. Tune in to this informational video to find out why Lake Archer is a treasured spot here on campus.
