Doylestown, PA. – Delaware Valley University buzzed with energy as students gathered for the highly anticipated Spring Club and Organization Expo. Held in the Moumgis Auditorium, the event provided a vibrant showcase of the diverse extracurricular opportunities available to students. From academic societies and cultural organizations to service groups and recreational clubs, the expo offered something for everyone looking to get involved.
With tables lining the venue, club representatives enthusiastically engaged with attendees, sharing their missions, upcoming events, and ways to participate. The expo served as an opportunity for students—both new and returning—to explore their interests, meet like-minded peers, and make the most of their college experience.
Student Media Writer Charlie Roller asked some club’s executive members about their purpose and why students should join.

Artisan’s Guild
“Our purpose is to learn new skills and improve the ones we have with art. People should join to have a creative community!” — Sam (left), President
Gaming Society
“It’s like any club where it’s a space for people with a shared interest to come together and spend time having fun. But with Gaming Society it’s with board games, video games or card games, tabletop and all the kind of stuff. And people should join if you like video games or if you’ve never played a video game in your life and want to try something new because games are very fun” – Rebecca (Right), President

GLOW
“We are the Universities Gay, Straight Alliance on campus. GLOW stands for Gay, Lesbian or Whatever. And we focus on welcoming every person with open arms and building communities at the University for specifically LGBTQIA+ youth but also any allies that want to be apart of our club. People should join GLOW for a space for community. It’s a calming space especially for the heated political environment right now. It’s a place to play games, get to know each other and just talk to people with similar experiences.”
Trinity (Right), President
MANRRS
“We are a club for minorities in agriculture and natural resources as well as related sciences. We get together and discuss things like careers, resumes, all the things you need for your future as well as Graduate school. We also go to a national conference where you can learn about agricultural jobs and other things outside of agriculture that you can do. Why should people join? Come have fun with us! And join so you can later go to our conference.”
— Adrianna (Right), Vice President

Delta Epsilon Beta (D.E.B)
“ DEB is one of two sororities at DelVal. We are a social sorority so we focus on building a tight knit community with our sisters. Our philanthropy is the Lupus Foundation, which is the largest nonprofit for Lupus. It researches and funds and helps families who are affected by Lupus. We also participate in community service. Our main ones are helping with the Women’s Place Domestic Violence Shelter, which is the only domestic violence shelter in Bucks County. And we also do Adopt a Highway to help pick up litter along a designated area. We also do other things like making dog toys for animal shelters. I think people should join DEB because it provides a lot of opportunities to get involved on campus and it was the best decision I made because it forced me to get out of my shell!”
Lucy (Right), President
AAZK
“We are AAZK and we are a student chapter of the American Association of Zoo Keepers. So as a club we aim to fulfill the goals of AAZK national which is all about creating a community within zoo keepers and networking and promoting conservation projects. And as a student chapter we want to get students more interested in the field itself and give them people they can go to if they start looking for jobs once they graduate. And one of the reasons you should join is we go on a fun zoo trip every semester!”
Sarah (Left), President

Horticulture Society
“Our purpose is to share things all about horticulture on campus at DelVal. And you should join our club because we do a lot of really fun things and we let you have a lot of cool experiences here on campus with plants!”
Grace (Left), Treasurer
Clubs and Organizations are the heart of DelVal’s campus and provide an outlet from academic stress for students. As many of the executive members pointed at, you should join an extracurricular activity to meet new people, try something new, or spend time outside of your dorm room. For freshmen especially, going alone to a club or organization meeting can be daunting but as Lucy from D.E.B said, it forced her to get out of her shell and make new friends. And we need community now more than ever, so get out there and be apart of DelVal’s campus pride!
