Some stories just have a way of coming full circle, and Coach Stackhouse’s (formerly Snyder ’02) journey is one of them. Once a standout athlete at Delaware Valley University, she left an unforgettable mark on the women’s basketball program. Her skill, determination, and leadership on the court earned her a well-deserved place in the Hall of Fame. But her connection to Delaware Valley University didn’t end when she hung up her jersey. Now, she’s back- this time as Head Coach of the very team that once defined her college years.

Coach Stackhouse takes us through her unique journey from player to coach. She opens up about the camaraderie she shared with her former teammates and the unforgettable memories that shaped her not only as a player but as a person. Alissa DiBonaventure Kintner (’01) one of Stackhouse’s former teammates, now coaching against each other, shared how she was not just a fierce competitor on the court but also the kind of teammate who lifted everyone up and made you want to play your best. It’s clear that her time on the court wasn’t just about winning games; it was about building relationships, learning resilience, and finding a sense of purpose-values she’s now instilling in her players.
For Coach Stackhouse, it’s about more than basketball. What makes this story so special is the sense of coming home-of giving back to the program and the university that gave her so much. Coach Stackhouse is not just coaching a team; she’s continuing a legacy and building a future for Delaware Valley University Women’s basketball team.
If you’ve ever been inspired by a great coach, connected to a mentor, or cheered for a team with all your heart, this video will speak to you. It’s a reminder that sports are about more than the score at the end of the game. They’re about the people, the journey, and the moments that stay with us long after the final buzzer.
