Last week the Ornithology class, from Delaware Valley University had their first field lab off campus where they visited the Peace Valley Park in New Britain to put their bird-identifying skills to the test. Ornithology is the study of birds. During this course, students learn the basic skills to identify birds by sound and appearance, based on basic behavior and body structure.

This course is part of the biology course catalog. It is taught by Dr.Gregory George, a biology teacher. This course is offered during the fall semester here at DelVal, where the labs take place outside at Peace Valley Park and students have an opportunity to visit Hawk Mountain.
