At Delaware Valley University, memories of A-Day through the years are plentiful. The Full360 spoke with several students about the highlights of their A Day experiences, and what a normal day would be like for them.
A-Day, a 75-year annual festive tradition, is a great time to connect with people on campus and in the community. This fair consists of various agriculture displays and exhibits. It also has many local community members who are sharing and selling their products. There are many food trucks, and games for children of all ages.
“A day is an exciting 3 day event on campus that celebrates community, agriculture, and learning. It is a unique opportunity for students, families, faculty, vendors, and community members to connect and have fun through a variety of activities, booths, and demonstrations.”
Megan Farrington
“I show a dairy cow so Friday is spent getting ready for the show and Saturday is spent showing, since we have to stay with our cows until 3pm. Sunday and the rest of the day Saturday I walk around and hang out with friends.”
Alyssa Blackmon

“A day for me has always been a fun experience, I grew up coming to a day without even knowing I’d end up at this school. A day gives me a chance to spend time with my family and see all the vendors that are close. It’s something that I would never want to miss. It gives the students a chance to let loose and have some fun before our finals.”
Aubrey Ennis

“At A day I was able to experience booths of homemade/grown products and see college students show cows, pigs, sheep, and horses that they have only been working with for a little under two months.”
Kelly Hastings

“During A day I’m either browsing the vendor tables finding cool things to buy, taking part in activities with my friends, or helping work the PreVet club table. It is a great experience where the community is able to see how much effort our students put into this event, and we get to share our passion for agriculture with everyone, while playing fun games, and eating good foods.”
