On September 8th, 2023, DelVal’s campus ministry CRU held its first event to provide a preview of what is to come for the semester.

This gathering was a haven for individuals to come and praise and worship, but also to release any burdens they brought with them so that when they left, they would have some relief and know that they have a community that will support them through their various storms.

I prayed about being a part of this club to make sure it was the correct option, and I don’t regret it because this was a night to remember. CRU leaders Olivia Rexrode, Maria Bartolucci , Nick Whitesel, Taylor Weaver, and Rafael Torres and I just wanted to put something together for students to come out and have fun being in God’s presence.

This took place in the LSB auditorium; the house wasn’t crowded, but we were grateful for the folks who came out from other sports, including baseball, football, and a few wrestlers.

There were games and giveaways for those in attendance. This evening was only a taste of what Cru has in store for the Fall semester. We meet on Wednesdays and Sundays at 8:30pm in the Student Center’s Music Room.
