The 2023 Delaware Valley University baseball season promises to be an exciting one, as the team welcomes a large incoming freshman class to bolster their already talented roster. With a renewed sense of energy and enthusiasm, the Aggies are poised to make a strong run in their conference.
The incoming freshman class brings with it a wealth of talent and potential, including several highly touted recruits with impressive high school careers. These newcomers will join an already talented group of returning players, creating a potent mix of experience and youth that should prove to be a challenge for opposing teams.
The Aggies are ready to begin the 2023 season, which they are able to do so with a new head coach.
Kyle Fleming, the new head coach of the Delaware Valley baseball program. Originally from Louisa, Virginia, Fleming earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2009. After serving as a graduate assistant for the Army Baseball team, he continued his service as an officer in the Air Defense Artillery branch.
Fleming’s passion for baseball led him to intern with the Washington Nationals for a year, followed by five years as a video scout/coordinator for the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball. He also worked as an associate scout for the Nationals and Atlanta Braves.
Excited for his new role, Fleming plans to build on the progress and strides made by the Delaware Valley baseball team under Coach Lindsay last year, with the goal of developing a perennial winning program.
During his previous season with the Aggies, Fleming played a crucial role in coordinating recruiting efforts, developing practice plans, and implementing team-building strategies. He also worked on transportation, development and ramp-up programs for pitchers, and fundraising efforts. Additionally, Fleming contributed to the planning and execution of renovations to the baseball field, which included new bullpens and batting cages.
With a talented roster and a deep bench, the 2023 Delaware Valley University baseball team looks poised to make a strong run in their conference and beyond. Fans can expect an exciting and competitive season, full of thrilling moments and memorable victories.
