Spring sports are in action at DelVal, and the last two weeks have started conference play. Entering games played through the MAC (Middle Atlantic Conference) means quite a few more games for each team. The university’s softball, baseball, women’s lacrosse, and men’s lacrosse teams each competed in multiple games in the past week, each producing wins. Here’s a look into some action from each of these teams:

Baseball

DelVal Baseball had some big wins including an 18-3 victory over Neumann and a 20-7 win against Marywood University. Though they lost the series to Stevens Institute of Tech, they overcame them 7-5 at home for their first game. Beating a team like Stevens who ranks high in the MAC attests to DelVal Baseball’s growth over the season.

Softball

In the span of just ten days, DelVal softball competed in five doubleheaders, only two of them at home. Softball faced two MAC teams, Wilkes and Desales during this time. The team had a tight but exciting win over their second game against Cedar Crest, playing hard to come away just 2-1.

Men’s Lacrosse

Men’s Lacrosse proved this week that they will continue to be a dominant team. Though having a new coach is never easy, Will Lawlor has lead his team to some very good wins. DelVal defeated Gwenydd Mercy and Cairn at home for some thriller games. Though they fell to Goucher, the game was hard played the entire time.

Women’s Lacrosse

Women’s Lacrosse struck again. The team got a huge win for the program, defeating Cedar Crest 19-5. Though the weather conditions imposed tough play for the team, they persevered and came out on top. Multiple Aggies on the team broke various game and season records throughout the week.
