Marley Bramsway / Full360 Digital Media Producer

Ever wanted to start thrifting but just don’t know where to start? Start here. After a tour of area thrift stores, I consider these spots the top 5 destination for deals. They have great prices, great finds, and are quick and cheap places to elevate your style! With aisles upon aisles of decor, shoes, accessories, furniture and more, you’re sure to never go home empty handed.

2nd Ave Thrift Store

Starting off strong, I visited 2nd Ave Thrift and walked away with a shopping cart full of great finds. 2nd Ave has everything from furniture, shoes, bags, jewelry, women and mens apparel, and plenty of decor. 2nd Ave is a prefect way to expand your style especially on there half-off days! 2nd Ave has fitting rooms where you can see how everything looks before you make your next purchase with them and with quick and easy self check out lanes, I’m able to quickly check out and get back in time for my next class.

Goodwill

A close second would have to be Goodwill. Goodwill is one of the most popular thrifts in the country and for good reasons. Trusted by so many shoppers, Goodwill has some of the best deals around with aisle upon aisle of great finds. Goodwill has dressing rooms to make sure your’e happy and confident walking away with your recent purchases. Similar to 2nd Avenue, Goodwill has everything you need from apparel to decor. So if your looking to vamp up your closet or living space, head to Goodwill, and it will not disappoint.

Goodwill Bins

Coming in 3rd was the Goodwill Bins. Similar to 2nd Avenue, the bins have the best finds for cheap finds, but it’s a hassle to search through. They call this store “the bins” because of the pile of clothes that are stack up in bins for customers to dig through. The bins have everything under the sun ranging from shoes, fabric, apparel, furniture, decor, records, and more. Although The Goodwill bins are much cheaper in a sense that you pay by the pound, it’s just more convenient to shop by the hanger.

Good Stuff Thrift

Coming in 4th place, Good Stuff Thrift is a cute corner store off of North Main St. in Doylestown. As soon as you open the door, you are surrounded by displayed statement pieces that will elevate your space. The rooms are color coded with decor, kitchen pieces, dishes, jewelry, and paintings. Located on the first floor, you can find women apparel and accessories and just up the stairs are the men’s and children’s apparel. With more decor than apparel, this is the perfect place to design your dream home.

In Full Swing

Lastly, In Full Swing, is a small corner thrift shop dedicated to benefiting A Women’s Place and likes to considers itself “more than a thrift store, but it’s a treasure hunt.” A treasures are exactly what you’ll find. With prioritizing more women’s apparel, it’s more of a tight niche than the other thrift stores. In Full Swing does have a few racks dedicated to mens and children’s apparel, so it’s perfect for whenever you want to drag your significant other or children along with you.
